Nurturing Families, One Step at a Time

Strengthening Bonds Through Play and Guidance

Our parenting support services provide a compassionate, practical space where parents can build stronger, more authentic relationships with their children. Through play-based, strengths-focused strategies, we help parents foster confidence, encourage healthy emotional development, and nurture resilience in their families. Each family is provided with information and strategies personalized for their lives.

Supporting Parents and Strengthening Connections

They weren’t kidding when they said there’s no manual for parenting—every family is unique, and every child brings their own experiences, strengths, and needs. At Sea Hope, we focus on nurturing the parent-child relationship in a way that is realistic, loving, and grounded in practical strategies. Parenting through play is a powerful tool. By engaging authentically with children, parents help them feel seen, heard, and understood, while fostering responsibility, self-efficacy, and self-worth. Even brief moments of meaningful connection can have a lasting impact. And when challenges arise, there is always room to repair and strengthen the relationship. As part of the play therapy experience, we offer parent consultation sessions. These sessions provide guidance, psychoeducation, and strategies to support your child’s growth and success. Our approach draws from Interpersonal Neurobiology, Love and Logic, Parent Child Interaction Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy—tools that help families build stronger, more resilient connections.

Neurodivergent Parenting

There is no book for parenting and certainly parenting a
neurodivergent child is a whole other book. As an Autism and
ADHD trained clinician and my own life experience, I have an
insider’s view on what this looks and feels like.
There are many strategies that work for all and some that
just don’t for these kids. It may take some work and we can figure
out the strategies that work with your child’s brain and createthe
autonomy and safety they need to grow with resilience, distress
tolerance and life skills.
Let’s unlock and take a dive into our ADHD and autism
toolbox and see what works.
The goal here is for parents and kids to find a path of
connection, growth and positivity.
