TRANSFORMing CONNECTIONS WITH CHILDREN

Sea Hope offers engaging, research-informed presentations that deepen understanding of children’s emotional development. Designed for parents, educators, and professionals, our signature presentations, Parenting Through Play and The Brain Storm, translate developmental science into practical strategies that strengthen relationships and improve communication. Delivered to schools, preschools, churches, pediatric practices, and community organizations, each session combines interactive demonstrations, guided discussion, and real-world application. Participants leave with a clearer framework for understanding children’s inner worlds and concrete tools to support healthy emotional growth.

What is Parenting through Play offer?

This presentation brings information and practical strategies and skill from the Child Centered Play Therapy and Parent Chil Interaction Therapy concepts into reality. Helping parents understand how play can truly teach their children how to navigate in the world when they may not have the words or understand the ideas at their developmental stage. This also helps parents remember how to play, with flexibility, no expectations and creativity. Play also provides that simple time together for just a few minutes a week that. Your child will remember for time to come.

What does the Brain Storm have to offer?

As parents we often wonder what is going on the heads of our children. The presentation is a comprehensive exploration of what is happening as children develop and the nature of learning and behavior. How can we utilize †he concepts of Interpersonal Neurobiology, Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavior Theory to help us build resilient, regulated, self- aware, and confident children who can trust themselves when it counts.

Who is the ideal Audience?

The ideal audience is adults who love, take care of, and have influence over children of all ages but primarily of children 12 and under.

Are these presentations oriented to neurodivergence like ADHD children?

Yes, if I am being honest †here is a bit of a lean into neurodivergent strategies. However, these same strategies can be useful and life skills for all children.

Can presentations be customized to my organization?

Yes, All presentations are relevant to parents, teachers and other child care givers and people of influence. If your organization has specific concerns or needs we can do work with that.

How will presentations be delivered?

Preferably, in person in a space with some room to move around. Presentations can be done via Zoom if needed.

How long are presentations?

1-2 hours depending on activities and discussion time.

Can the presentation be part of a larger event, training day, or series?

Yes. Sea Hope would love to participate in events and collaboration with other professionals in a variety of opportunities to spread the word that what feels hard can in fact be so rewarding when you find a new perspective.

Is there audience participation?

Let’s hope so! We may do some exercises such as laughing yoga, improv or role play to create a point of impact and perspective. Discussion and questions are always a welcome opportunity to help and learn from each other.

What technology is needed for presentations?

Presentations are PowerPoint format and from an iPad. Coordinating this with available technology shouldn’t be too hard. Just a little preplanning.

What makes Kristin at Sea Hope knowledgeable?

I have been practicing child centered play therapy with a focus on neurodivergence for over two years now. I have had the privilege to help families on a journey from struggle to success. I am trained and informed in ASD and ADHD, as well as being neurospicy myself. I am trained in Interpersonal Neurobiology by Dan Siegel and in Anxiety, Polyvagal, and Mindfulness for children. My practice focuses on family and children and in all varieties of home and family life. As I see it my job is to support not only children but the people who care deeply for them as well. As a parent, I know we do the best with what we have in our toolbox and there is always room for more.
